The coming election year might be a good time to bring it back to life.

I don't know Verde? SF JUNTO and Able Darts' Bathroom Wall has declined considerably. I think people are into blogging now days. I think with the
stink in San Francisco, SF discussions have bored too many people. Most posters have left. If you can market your site like I suggested for JUNTO to do,
which he ignored. You could pick up new readers and posters.
You need to go to WIFI coffee shops and place cheap classified ads in the Bay Guardian and SF Weekly and a few in the Chronicle promoting your place on a regular basis to make it work. I really miss you guys! Best wishes from me!

Thank you Jerry. What also killed San Francisco discussion boards is the Chronicle's sfgate... people comment behind articles over there just like on
discussion boards do now. They have become the center of attraction in San Francisco blogosphere now. Other sites like Fog City Journal and Pat Murphy's
Sentinel have allowed comments and the need for San Francisco discussion boards are dying.... that's why the Fang Asian Week discontinued their discussion
boards
Discussion boards are a time of the past…. I also noticed that Topix and Free Republic are on their downward slide also. I stopped posting there. I don't see them much on Google searches like I used too. What's become very popular for writers and bloggers like myself is Zimbio.com, all good postings from writers and bloggers get top google search positioning than anyone else. Zimbio is the place to be right now…. Zimbio is a Net magazine, like Wikipedia on written materials in attractive magazine form, you can post photos and make your page attractive and you get thousands of readers to read your articles, where as on a discussion board you don't. I love Zimbio! Zimbio gives me exposure that most daily papers have on the Net, my articles get the same opportunity to be found on Google and Yahoo as sfgate, the Chronicle and every one else does…. |
